Eduardo L. Joson Memorial College : A Home for Scholars

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

Eduardo L. Joson Memorial College came into being on January 24, 2005 by the virtue of Nueva Ecija Provincial Board Resolution No. 34-5-2005. This school aimed at providing free high quality tertiary education to the financially less privilege  but exceptionally talented Novo Ecijano youths.

Eduardo L. Joson Memorial College was established in honor of the great patriarch Eduardo L. Joson who served as governor of Nueva Ecija for than 30 years since 1960. His deals and commitment to the youth and to the development of he entire province have inspired the continuing program on human resource development; thus the birth of this pioneering institution geared towards excellence, leadership, and justice. All these are envisioned to lead to the overall progress and honor of the province.

As a community college, ELJMC offers a full scholarship to the poor but deserving students and help them to achieve their goals. This school was located at Barangay Singalat, Palayan City, Nueva Ecija.

Too often the standards for success are measured by the level of education we have attained, the amount of money we have, the size of our house or even how much material possessions we own.

Education is important: we should go for all that is available to us and there's nothing wrong with a good job and wealth. But in reality, it is how we treat others and what we do with our education and money that people will remember long after we are gone.

"True success can only be measured at the end of our lives, by how we used what we had to served the society and honor god. This is the only kind of success that can never be taken away from us"

Teddy Bears

        They are lovable and kissable. When I'm happy, I tell to my teddy the reason behind the big smile on    my face. I don't know why, but when I saw teddy bears, I want to share the happenings of my life.

Pillows

When I'm sleeping, I want the pillows surrounds at me. In that way I feel safe and comfortable. They are the one who makes me feel special. All I want is to embrace them and I'm happy by doing that.

Ice Cream

If you want to be my friend, just give me one scoop of ice cream..., just joking. The truth is, when I'm angry, just give me ice cream and I'll be fine again.

"There are lots of things that makes people happy. When they saw it and touch it, it makes them feel good and comfortable. Sometimes when we are sad and crying, one of our favorites things makes us happy and the feelings we feel a while ago makes them fade away...."

I Love Pets

I love Bonchie

I love pets especially dog.

Bonchie is a dog. He is not just my pet but also my friend. He is my tame animal that i kept for companionship. Hearing his voice/bark when I'm tired makes me feel better.

Bonchie gave to me last year. He is now one year old. Every time I arrived after school, he always wait for me and make some noise to catch my attention. Playing century bone is his past time. He take a bath four times a week. He had also his own toothbrush, toothpaste and even shampoo. Sometimes he is a naughty dog. When we have a visitor, he is barking out loud. If you want to stop him, just call his name. Bochie is not only our security dog, we treat him as one of our family member.

People have their own choice of pet. Although we have our own choice, we need to take care and treat them as our friend or family. The way we treat them is the way we treat us to.

Our School : Our Second Home

School : Education

School is considered as our second home. Teacher as our parents and classmate as our brothers and sisters.

Being an individual, we need to go to school to learn how to read, write, and count.

In school, teacher help students to gain additional knowledge and help them to become a productive person someday. All knowledge that the student must get are help them to attain their dreams and goals. Sometimes in school, we feel that being there can make us more happy than in our own home because in school we see and feel the attention and affection we want to get that our family can't give it.

We go to school to become educated. We can use the knowledge we get from school to find a better job.

We didn't go to school just to become educated person but also to improve our self-belonging or socialization, self-confidence, and sometimes self-realization.

We need to give importance on gaining knowledge in school because......

My Family

What is Family?

Family is the most important social structure of any society. Every family we belong is unique. Our family can give us unconditional love, love that is proven not just by the words they say, but also to the actions they do. In every family, the members must show respect for each other even when there are misunderstanding and disagreement on a particular matter.

About my Family?

Well, I belong to the family who is simple, and luckily surrounded by love. When we have a problem, we solved it together. We respect each personalities emotions we have. Except of having a friends, my family is the one who gave love to me, make me feel comfortable when I am sick and teach me how to be a good and responsible person. Without my family, I am not here to show and express the real me.

For those people who is missing their mother and father because of separation or even death, I know it was very painful. They can leave you confused, angry, and sometimes feel envy and ashamed. It seem like there's no way out and nobody cares at all. But always think that God has a plan for you that's why certain things happen. Just look around, some people can be your guide, your helper, and your counselor or even friends.

"Just don't loose hope, never give up, and have faith in God."

Hi there!!!!

I'm a friendly person but I select only those people who can understand me for being who I am.

Because for me....

Friends are one of the nicest things to have given by God and one of the nicest thing to be. They walk with us when we feel that the world walks out. They are those people who are ready to share or give their hands to help us in times when trials hit us. They make us happy when we are sad. Friends are like diamonds that we need to keep.

I have ten friends-nine girls and only one boy. Although we have different personalities, we can deal with such differences to make our friendship solid. I love them for being who they are. They treat me as their family so that in return I will treat them not only as friend but also as family. When one of us had a problem, we will help him/her to solve it. We didn't tolerate the bad things to destroy our group. For me "friends bring magic into my life, and my life is incomplete without them..."

I'm Hazmine Baltazar Ignacio,18 years of age. My friends call me "Min", which means "maliit itong nilalang" or small creature.

About Me

At this point, I am studying at Eduardo L. Joson Memorial College with the Bachelor Degree on Business Administration major in Financial Management. I am so proud to be a scholar!

THE REAL ME

I'm a sweet, caring, and loving person, but afraid to show it. I'm happy when my family and friends are with me. They make me comfortable when I'm not feeling well. Being snob is one of my real characteristics. I hate those people who are not being true to themselves. Sometimes I'm a good listener. If you had a problem just call me and I will help you as I can. I don't like those person who doesn't like me too. I won't change my real personality just to pleased by other. If someone likes me, he/she can accept me for being who I am. I'm not afraid to the judgement or comments of those who doesn't like me because who are they anyway to judge me? They can say what they want! Just beat it! I don't care. I considered them as my biggest fans because they stare and follow me where ever I go.

Just love me for being who I am and in return I will love you also for being who you are.

I feel complete when I show the real me..
